Job Description
Dare To Be Counseling, LLC is looking for an outpatient psychotherapist to join our practice in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The available position is W-2 employee status and either in person or hybrid.
Benefits
Competitive, commission-based pay: Earn $60,000 - $115,000 per year completing 20 to 30 client sessions per week.
Paid Job Training: Earn hourly pay while you complete your orientation, training, and initial client communication.

Flexibility & Independence: Freedom to choose the size of your caseload, the hours and days you work, when to take time off, the population of clients you serve, and when to see clients in-person versus remotely. Ability to work from home or office, as desired.
Great Office Location: A comfortable, welcoming, furnished office in a beautiful and easily accessible historic building centrally located in downtown Grand Rapids with plentiful free parking. All offices have beautiful views of Grand Rapids with screened windows that open.
Support & Consultation: We prioritize communication and support within our team! Clinical and Business Directors who really care about you and your perspectives. Open and direct access to Clinical Director and Billing & Business Director. Supportive, collaborative team environment with monthly group case consultation and individual case consultation with our clinical director.
Professional & Licensure Supervision: Each clinician receives three hours per month of individual supervision with the Clinical Director and two hours per month of group supervision/case consultation with the clinical team.
Technology, Services & Supplies: We provide employees with the materials and services they need to do their job. This includes laptops, HIPAA compliant phone service, email, eFax, and telehealth platforms, as well as office supplies, therapy tools and supplies, furniture, business cards, liability insurance, and more.
Simple Documentation Requirements: We provide an Electronic Health Records system with simple, easy to complete documentation requirements, online intake forms, client appointment reminders, secure messaging, and an online client portal.
Credentialing & Billing: In-house medical billing to complete your insurance credentialing, coordinate benefits/eligibility, submit and investigate claims, maintain client accounts and collections, respond to client insurance and billing questions. We also have strong client attendance and payment policies and procedures, and a 100% fee collection rate.
Marketing: We will market your services and provide a Psychology Today profile and other clinician marketing profiles, as needed or requested.
W-2 Employee Status: Being a W-2 employee instead of an independent contractor means you can focus on being a clinician and receive employee benefits. We handle the billing, marketing, credentialing, and administrative costs and tasks, leaving you to enjoy the flexibility and benefits of private practice with no need to start your own business, pay self-employment taxes, or pay for your own equipment, supplies, or services.
Requirements
Master’s or Doctorate Degree and Current State of Michigan License as an LMSW, LPC, LMFT, LLP, LP, or LLMSW.
Live in the State of Michigan
Experience providing clinical behavioral health services.
Willingness to gradually increase client load to ultimately provide a minimum of 20 counseling sessions per week.

Candidates seeking hybrid remote/office positions must have a private, professional space to conduct telehealth sessions and reliable internet service.
Responsibilities
Conduct a minimum average of 20 psychotherapy sessions per week (240 per quarter) in person or via telehealth using evidence-based practices.
Perform client assessments and develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
Schedule appointments with clients and maintain accurate information in the scheduling & billing calendar.
Manage time, schedule, and client load effectively. Maintain regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work including beginning and ending client sessions on time.
Respond to client requests and communication in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate and current clinical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and practice policies and procedures.
Communicate with a client’s treatment team outside of Dare To Be Counseling as necessary, with appropriate consent documentation.
Attend mandatory staff meetings, supervision, and training as directed by Dare To Be Counseling, LLC.
Partner with the practice in marketing, networking, client recruitment, and client retention.
Maintain Professional Licensure and adhere to all professional standards, laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are applicable to your health license and the services performed for Dare To Be Counseling, LLC.
